Just days before the start of the fourth edition of the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel (9-15 June), the President of the International Padel Federation, Luigi Carraro, announced the renewal of the tournament agreement for another five years.
“We are proud to have signed, a few weeks ago, the renewal of the agreement for the Italy Major for another five years. Five years that will, in fact, become forever, because we have included an automatic renewal system: we can now consider Italy a permanent location” said Carraro.
A location loved by both male and female players: all the top padel stars will be competing on court at the Foro Italico. “Rome, Italy, and this tournament. What a magnificent trio. The BNL Italy Major Premier Padel is considered by everyone the most important tournament in the world. We’re at the fourth edition now, and playing in a venue like the Foro Italico is an incredible privilege”, continued the FIP President.
“Here, in 2022, together with President Binaghi and Dr. Diego Nepi Molineris (ceo of Sport e Salute), we didn’t just build the first event. Thanks to them, we were able to build an entire circuit. We started from nothing, we didn’t even have a sponsor or a logo, but we created an event in twenty days and decided to embark on this adventure. That year, as you’ll all remember, was a huge success and made the Italy Major a key part of the global padel scene”.
